Accessibility Statement
Velvet Wing Bakery is committed to providing a website experience that is usable by as many people as reasonably possible, including people who use assistive technologies. Accessibility is an ongoing part of how we design and maintain the site.
Last updated: September 8, 2026Our accessibility goal
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as an ongoing design and testing benchmark where reasonably applicable. This is a target for continuous improvement, not a claim that every page, feature, third-party integration, or piece of historical content is perfectly conformant at all times.
How we design for accessibility
The website is intended to use semantic page structure, meaningful headings, descriptive labels, keyboard-accessible controls, visible focus states, readable color contrast, text alternatives for meaningful images, understandable form feedback, responsive layouts, and reduced-motion considerations where practical. We also aim to avoid interactions that depend only on precise pointer input or a particular screen size.
Keyboard and assistive technology
Interactive controls should be reachable and usable with a keyboard where the underlying feature supports it. We aim to provide programmatic names and relationships that can be interpreted by modern screen readers and other assistive technologies.
Mobile, zoom, and text resizing
The site is designed to work across modern phones, tablets, and desktop browsers. Pages should reflow on narrow screens and remain usable with browser zoom and larger text without forcing unnecessary horizontal scrolling for ordinary content.
Images and visual content
Meaningful images should have appropriate text alternatives or surrounding context when the image communicates information. Decorative imagery may be intentionally hidden from assistive technologies. Some customer-supplied, social, or historical imagery may have limitations that we continue to improve over time.
Motion and animation
Where practical, animated or moving interface elements are designed to respect reduced-motion preferences or avoid unnecessary motion that could interfere with use. Some third-party media or embeds may provide their own motion controls.
Forms, checkout, and customer tasks
We aim to make core customer tasks—including browsing, requesting custom work, managing a cart, reviewing order information, and contacting the bakery—understandable and operable with accessible labels, instructions, error feedback, and focus behavior. If a digital workflow creates a barrier, we will work with you on another reasonable way to complete the same task.
Third-party content and services
Some parts of the customer experience may rely on third-party providers, embedded services, social content, payment tools, maps, or other integrations that we do not fully control. We encourage accessible experiences from our providers and work to choose and configure services responsibly, but third-party accessibility can vary.
Testing and ongoing improvement
Accessibility is treated as an ongoing product requirement rather than a one-time project. As the website changes, we review issues identified through development, automated checks, manual testing, browser and device testing, and customer feedback. Confirmed barriers should be corrected and, where feasible, prevented from recurring in similar components.
Need help using the website?
If any part of the website is difficult to access or use, contact Velvet Wing Bakery through the normal customer contact options on the website. Please tell us the page or feature involved, what you were trying to do, and the type of assistance you need. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the information or service through an accessible alternative while the underlying issue is reviewed.
Accessibility feedback
We welcome specific feedback about accessibility barriers. Helpful details include the page URL, device and browser if known, assistive technology if relevant, and a short description of what happened. You do not need to provide disability or medical information to report a website-accessibility issue.
Legal and privacy matters
Accessibility assistance should use our normal customer-service contact channels so we can help with the task directly. Privacy or legal correspondence may instead be sent to legal@velvetwingsms.com.
Statement updates
We may update this Statement as the website, accessibility practices, standards, testing methods, and third-party services evolve. The current version will be published on this page.
